I understand about Elijah's size. I'm always worried as to whether or not he's getting enough to eat. It's just hard when you hear people brag about how big their 4 month old is, when you've grown up your whole life being tiny and don't really want your kid to get picked on either

One look at the fat little belly ought to clue you in. :-) Also, he certainly has plenty of giggles and grins for his grandmother and, if he was constantly hungry, I doubt he'd be in the mood to put up with my nonsense...
I just had a call from the Children's Miracle Network asking ust to share our story.
Oh, do it! Do it! That would be so cool! Also, it's not a live broadcast if they tape you, so don't be nervous.

I'm not a lactation expert (being neither medically trained nor biologically eligible to participate) but here's what I recall about the physiology (from when our little ones were little and such things were relevant):
Your body will sacrifice itself to generate the nutrition the baby needs. Again, if he wasn't getting what he needed/wanted, he'd be very clearly wanting to eat all the time. Just make sure you're eating well and getting the best rest you can.
(Plus, to get technical about it, the composition is variable over the course of the session. Some of the time it is mostly water, and some of the time it's more substantial. That's okay. It's the way it's supposed to be.)

Also, if memory serves me, you had a way of dealing with anyone who picked on you for being tiny: you took 'em out at the knees...

Don't worry too much about Elijah's size. The others can brag as much as they want about how big their 4 month old is, but I bet they can't brag as much as you can about how handsome their kid is!
Just watch Elijah grow up to be 6' 2"......
