I don't know what it is lately, maybe it's just that I'm sick of schizophrenic weather or just that Jason's back in school after break and I've had entirely too much time alone to think, but I've just been sooooo blah. I mean, I have to get my butt in gear and finish my last 5 classes so that I can transfer to EMU, and I'm totally fine with that ( Read more... )

You won't flunk out at Eastern. Trust me. And you're super bright, Becky. I'm sure whatever you've lost since leaving school will come back real quick. I dropped out of college and took a year off, and I made it. You will too!

So, what the hell do you want to do with your life anyway?

Well, having spent most of my adult life in retail where I was unappreciated by those I was trying to help (stupid customers) and underpaid, I figured I'd just continue the trend. I think I'm going to teach high school Literature.

Heh, you'll certainly be underpaid for that...and maybe unappreciated by the staff...but I could see you becoming one of those favorite high school Lit teachers that all of the kids want to have. You'll have a million kids wanting to be your TA... :)

That's right, and if I ever get bored with Jason I can just go all Mary Kay Laturno (sp?) and date my students. Of course...that would make me feel dirty, like the kind of dirty that you can't wash off. Maybe I won't do that after all.

You are very bright, Miss Becky. I think you'd be a fabulous English teacher, and you'll always have me to recommend books to you for a change of pace!

Plus, you know, it's the one way to still get a discount if you leave Borders. ;)

If you ever want to feel appreciated for cleaning, come over here. I'll compose hymns in your honor, and bow and scrape appropriately.
