what a day.
My cat, Ishtar, died.
It was pretty sudden, by the time we got her to the vet she was almost gone.
The vet thought that she had been bitten by a snake, my dad thought that she has eaten poison. It turns out she had an infection, and there was nothing that we could do.

but I tend to find that it's better for them to go suddenly then to have to spend the agonising weeks/months or even longer feeling helpless and wishing that there was anything to be done.
nursing any pet only to have them not make it can feel so much worse.
at the same time I hope you and Bill are ok.
Hopefully this didn't remind him too much of Binky.
keep an eye on him ok? he may try to keep it in, he may share, but at least he talks so someone again thesedays.
