That's my old apartment, which I miss incredibly. Sigh. My ex-roomie took the photo just as we were getting ready to move, so it looks very bare. You can see my OE Dictionary in the corner, there.

It's a history of the making of the OED. It's fasciating.
Apparantly it took 70 years from proposal to completion.
