Aha! A long time ago I heard that Elmore James record on the John Peel show (in between Bogshed session tracks or something). He played the closing section again after it had finished, and it is a very special one. I sometimes play it twice myself. On the record player, not on my own guitar. I could, but I don't care to compete.

I rarely listen to it once whenever the CD is in the drawer.
Those Elmore fans of yore Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (who left out Jeremy Spencer from their omelette of a monica for some reason) used to do a number called "There's Something Inside of Me" (...and it just won't go away).
A different song done on their sensitive floaty neo-blues style with a piping boyish voice that belonged more to the Moody Blues than the Broom-Dusters. Perhaps Guy has it to hand although perhaps we should also remember our consensus about Brit R&B and just remain 'interested'.
I think Muddy Water's later "Little Brown Bird" owes something to the James composition too - check out some of the vocal ticks in the former!
