nearly midnight, weekend before classes go back in session, and I'm playing with my camera and my iphoto. I used myself as the subject, t'was different, normally I use nature or inanimate objects.
I know, I'm all about playing with my camera. Most of these were taken in Beauty shot mode, however, adjusting them in iphoto kind of negates the camera setting. I know most people are quite fond of putting their camera on auto or Smart, or whatever they think is easiest, but I'm all about choosing the setting, even if it doesn't seem like it would work things like the setting for Snow works best for sunset and water, whereas the setting for Sunset doesn't really work for anything. Blah, blah, blah! How are you?
In our photoclass, it's forbidden to put it on auto or smart or whatever you call it. We have to change the settings ourselves and altough it was a pain in the ass in the beginning, it's fun now.
I'm just awake, waiting for Mirko to come over. i'm babysitting him today. And I'm extremely tired but that's because I have troubles sleeping due to the pregnancy. And I don't want to go to work tomorrow *pouts* But hey, that's life, right?
I think I had my camera on Smart for like a nano second when I first got it, because after trying to take a picture in the dark, it put it on flash and that just destroyed what I was going for in the shot, i.e. if I'm shooting in the dark, I want it to look like it's taken in the dark, I want the shadows and the depth and the color that darkness creates. Smart mode is now, in my head, called "dumb mode
