yeahhh couldn't be bothered biting it again. how about i make a new one? yes i think so too.
also i like it light :( all you printmaking people like things dark.
aaaaand YAY LETTERPRESS! of course i was supervised. i can't even get the room open if there was no one in there? crashed one of jesse's classes last week. i want my own letterpress and letters... lingsiiiii let's buy one and start a letterpress heaven
yeah that's true, i like super deeply etched lines. sometimes i forget that my plate's been in the acid for like, 25 minutes but those ones always seemed to turn out better.. haha. your crane image is totally cool though, it's very delicate and pretty. do you reckon you'll end up doing heatpressed images?
I wasn't very impressed with the letterpress (excuse the pun). maybe coz Jesse's inkpads were crapola. or maybe it's because i've seen better effects from etching, lino etc.
oh i didn't even use inkpads, i used the wood letters and a roller. didn't know you used inkpads - i assume that's for the teeny tiny steel letters? it's not the 'effect' i'm after - it's the letters themselves. see this is what graphic design does to a person. i used to think typography was the boringest thing ever...
and hey i've already seen the archibald. it was ok but on the whole i was a bit unimpressed (no pun).
