Things I learned this weekend:

  • Laotians don't know how to celebrate Thxgiving properly; Buddah does not approve.

  • Porsches On The Autobahn went over my speed limit.

  • Hip Hop Kids who wear Chinchilla fur coats from NYC who vacation at their parent's condo in Killington likes AzN men...who knew? Pickle Barrel!

  • It's difficult to flirt with ( Read more... )

"Never bet on a Queen/Jack pair flop when you have to go all-in on a raise, especially when the river is an Ace."

Well it sounds like you're pretty boned in that case anyway. The river will get you sometimes and if you were pot-committed then sticking it out wouldn't have been horrible... but... I dunno. Did you go all in on the river or on the turn? If it was the turn then, yeah, that sucks, but if it was the river then you sorta learned your lesson there.

"If you have to go the ATM for more money to gamble, you should quit while you're ahead."

If you have to go the ATM for more money to gamble, you already aren't ahead anymore ;-P

Finally, I'd normally refrain from this, especially in a public post, but it's Monday morning after a holiday weekend, so my tact might not be up-to-par: given I was in NJ on Friday and hence not Bill's Bar but - and I'm not fingering you out for this, per se, you just posted at a convenient time for me to bring this up - it seems from what I've heard that there was an en masse turn toward hating ( ... )

-Well I had a Q/J in my hand, and there was a Q/J in the flop, I went all in hoping that someone would fold on option, but instead was re-raised after the raise by that person i was hoping would fold. She had a pair of pocket rockets on hand, and of course the river had to be an A!!

-I didn't actually go the ATM myself, but someone else did...twice...

-I always felt indifferent about Porsches on the Autobahn and never really had any sort of final conclusion about them until I saw them play on Friday, and I was annoyed by their performance. I think it was too over done for me and I felt like i was back at a house party in Olympia, WA circa 1999 and i've seen that kind of performance over and over and over and over and over and over again. It's like Chi-ah-nese water torture.

They are all over that place. Oh yeah so are the Budweiser girls and free chicken wings during happy hour.

It's difficult to flirt with girls when you've introduce yourself with three different names to the same person at the same club.

please explain?

Like when same person comes up to you and says, "oh wait, I thought your name was Steve..."

oh, jeesh. maybe they'll remember you more if you tell them your name is sticky.
