That IS sad. He and his partner Hanna provided hours of mindless entertainment for me from 1980-1990.

Only up 'til 1990? I think they both still provide that for me once in a while.

I think I lost patience for cartoons sometime in high school. It took me a while to look beyond the fact that it was animated to start enjoying the Simpsons even.
