I can't believe in June-August of this last year, I spent an average of $45 each time to fill up a tank of gas for my car. The average for December was about $25. You figure I do that about twice a week, I've spent more money on gas than I do on food...

But I would still need the car for work and that amount would be in addition to that expense. :(

yeah, makes me even happier that i sold my car & turned to public transportation when i did. i wasn't driving as much as you, but still doing approx. 50 miles a day.
