When your town's glamourless and your whole school is a mess, that's a Morae
Here be the summary for session seven of Chuck's SGAA Changeling game. Out of the dreaming, the group has to deal with the consequences for being gone for a month, but not the consequences they were anticipating. Cut for the convenience in 3..2...1... *"did went" has been edited.*
Two days had passed since the SGAA came back from their jaunt into the dreaming, though they had successfully saved the Morphean Oracles, their next challenge in dealing with punishment from their parents could have been a hurdle just as great as the Noam king, were it not for the fact that everyone in town were like robotic zombies.
Juan was braced for a tearful reunion or severe punishment. He waited until Monday morning which he still only got eerily nothing. After talking to his mom and her trying to get him to school, he came to the conclusion she was under his mind control once she fixed breakfast for him.
Memphis was under a different challenge before school, finding something appropriate for Skyla to wear. After calling Bellasandra and not being able to manipulate her ego, he braved to school. Her outfit got no reaction as he processed her as an exchange student while Juan tried to show Memphis his new found powers of mind manipulation.
After getting to homeroom and seeing everyone was just as drained, Juan began apologizing. Rook mentioned his parents were the same way, like the banal students they saw the morning of the first Dauntain encounter. Juan breathed a sigh of relief not being the culprit this time. He then made an excuse to get out of class and everyone from the SGAA followed suit.
The club made its way to the Unseelie clique’s homeroom, where they found the three playing cards in the middle of class. The Unseelies told the SGAA that there was a problem, but for some reason did not try helping to much in its solution. So Raz decided a Glamour/Banality detector was needed to find the source of the problem. The rest of the club stayed with the Unseelies to play cards. Rook put a glamour into his asterion to see if that would help. He started feeling lucky as he started to win hand after hand.
Raz went to the library for materials for his detector. Still in rubble, the library perplexed the Raz-meister. He did however find a banned book list of Miss Gertrude’s that was protected from the elements. He went on searching for a guitar string. After turning up a dead end in the band room, he went back to the Unseelie homeroom.
As Raz entered the homeroom again, Rook stood up and decided if his luck could be used for the current situation. Raz told Memphis and Juan of his dilemma. Eventually the group ended up outside of the homeroom of Rook’s little sister, Chelle.
She seemed slightly more lively than the rest of the homeroom. After casually debating what to do, Rook just walked up to her and asked if she wanted to skip homeroom, which she decided was a good idea. After introductions, she was appalled when they asked for a guitar string, but after some discrete use of aphrodisia, she went to get it and gave it to Juan, who then went to the club room to give it to Raz.
While working on the device, Raz realized his Realms involving man-made objects were limited to clothing. Then he had a painful epiphany and reluctantly went to Juan outside. Raz told Juan that he required a pair of Bellasandra’s and Miss Gertrude’s panties. Juan happily obliged, and Raz felt dirty as he began to work his magic on making the device.
After several minutes of toiling, Raz successfully created a panty-cartridge based banality and glamour detector. Coming back to the group, Chelle was seemingly curious about what was going on. Being easier to do than to explain, Juan bent her over and pumped a glamour into her, thus enchanting her. After some minor observations she made about the club’s Fae Mein’s, Chelle seemed to be not as weirded out as would be normal for just being enchanted.
After searching around the school and noting various glamour and banality levels, Raz figured out the problem. Banality levels were fine. It was the glamour levels of the school that were too low.
The SGAA went to the Unseelies to ask them again if they knew anything. Tony began to speak, but Bellasandra made him be quiet. Juan, not being one to leave it alone, used aphrodisia on Tony to make him need to tell what was wrong. Tony picked up Juan and said that Bellasandra summoned them, and he and Anastasia discretely left.
The problem, as it turns out, was that Bellasandra summoned a group of Morae after the SGAA destroyed their previous source of glamour. Memphis decided to put a collar around Bellasandra and they all decided to go the SGAA club room.
On there way there, Bellasandra managed to cantrip Memphis into a calmer state. Though since she was oathed to protect the Morae, she was still a problem. So, guess what’s next? Yes Juan used aphrodisia to make Bella need to go to Chicago right then and now. She cursed Juan as she left.
As they got into the club, Rook had an epiphany. He put his hand on Chelle’s shoulder and discretely tried to get Raz to use the mirror. When that didn’t work he vocally told Raz to use the damned mirror. Chelle objected, but Raz noticed something off. In a Forrest Gump brilliant move, Juan used chalk to draw a magic circle around Chelle as his bunk to use aphrodisia on the Morae inside to want to leave Chelle’s body. This succeeded, and also trapped the Morae unbeknownst to the group, because Morae are banned from crossing chalk lines.
After the Morae jumped out, Rook immediately grabbed her by the throat. Chelle grabbed a broom and started to whack her while Chelle cursed up a storm. After some thoughtful discussion, it was revealed the oath prevented her from leaving. Also, she became more compliant due to both the pissed off troll holding her neck, and the fact Juan wanted to graft her vagina onto Chastity, which freaked everyone out and further scarred Mindy, who ran out of the room.
Tony and Anastasia tried to come into the club room to save the Morae, but Juan used aphrodisia in an obvious way to make them want to find Bella. Anastasia gave him and obvious look before they left to go find her. Raz also spoke to Mindy briefly as she seemed disturbed by Juan. Raz only mentioned the fact that Juan never has really been right in the head.
Being that the oath was the problem, Raz decided to take advantage of the situation and solve it at one go. Professor Bay was also bribed a gong to assist Raz in his endeavor. He cut the oath off and turned it into oath steel in combination with the metal from one of the chimerical swords from earlier, freeing the Morae from the oath.
After much discussion, the Morae was let go after revealing her four other friends and not being harmed by the group. The chalk of the circle also was removed to let her go, giving the SGAA knowledge about that particular ban.
With their new-found knowledge, Memphis and Juan drew chalk around the school and in front of every door they could find. Then the fire alarm was pulled. Everyone in the school left in an orderly way, except for the four Morae possessed students that were the targets of the SGAA search.
Chelle’s drummer, the stoner bass player, the Otaku chick and her boyfriend turned out to be the hosts to the Morae. After demanding to be let go, the Otaku possessed arrogantly stated that the SGAA could not remove them so easily. So to find a less fireman-filled area, the Morae were taken to the shop class building.
After getting them close together, Juan did his usual magic and the Morae jumped out of their host bodies. The previous hosts wondered off to do things that they have left undone for the previous month, whether it be cosplay or smoking a blunt.
Since they were now out, they now demanded Raz worked his magic with the oaths. Raz started technical at first, but as the work moved on, the cantrips were required to be more and more creative ending with the last one being a sponge bath that all the Morae, Chastity and Skyla joined in. Rook left at that point for his own personal safety from possible making Sam irate. Afterwards, the oaths were turned into oath steel, and the Morae were free to go, with one of them wanting Raz to call her.
Even with them gone, there was the problem of the town being soaked of glamour. It was decided a concert was needed, with Chelle thinking that Chaos Across Infinity needed a comeback concert after a month’s absence. The roof of her and Rook’s family bar would be the stage. Both Juan and Memphis auditioned to play on the stage with her, but both she begrudgingly accepted: Memphis because of skill and Juan because of his acoustic tastes. Raz cranked up all the speaker equipment to 11 and Rook was given Bay’s gong to beat on. Memphis spread the word among his contacts. After preparations the stage was set.
Chelle started off with a cover of Meatloaf’s “Wasted Youth.” Just as she started Memphis invoked the gift of pan. Skyla and Chastity danced on stage. Professor Bay lit the fireworks. Both Chastity and Bay were visible due to Juan and Memphis’s calling on the Wyrd. Sam danced with Rook and Mindy danced with Raz. Much rocking was to be had as the glamour slowly filled the town again as the crowd grew. Many drinks were sold at the bar as Chelle and Rook’s mom and dad began acting like their usual selves.
Near the end of the concert, Juan decided to play a song dedicated to Bellasandra just as she came back from her attempted trek to Chicago. The spotlight focused on her as he song. She froze up during the song, but not being one to lose, she decided to dance with Tony in the end, crushing Juan’s attempt to woo her.
