Something funny happened on Saturday. Ireland missed out on a triple crown and nobody I know was too upset.
Lots of comments like, "sure the Scots deserved it" or "our own fault for not bringing O'Gara on sooner" but I reckon if it had been any orther nation who had beaten us to a Triple Crown or Grand Slam on the last weekend of the season ( Read more... ) -

The Big to Do
Nice new album from the Drive By Truckers. I have not had a chance to listen to all of yet but so far it sounds like the usual mixture of Southern Rock with Patterson Hoods, awkwardly elegant lyrics.
A glance at some of the song titles implies that Hood has been reading true crime magazines or watching some very poor movies. How else can you ( Read more... ) -
What A Nice Day!
There must be more pleasant ways to start a working day than this but i'm not sure what it would be. I'm watching huge snowflakes fall out of the window (I have a skill of 55% in looking out window) while listening to the Grateful Dead on the Ipod. - An excellent Podcast called Dead Air if anyone is interested.

A popular beach for nudists has been raided by police following community concerns over illegal behaviour.
Families with small children were among the 140 people sunbathing on Little Congwong Beach at La Perouse, in Sydney’s south, when police and National Parks and Wildlife officers arrived about 12.30pm yesterday.
