Well, the train is back on the track and moving along. All problems are worked out with Village and we got our financing approval yesterday. We are going out today to see how far along they are on the house. Not to far I am sure, but at least we get to see it in the process. I am so psyched. We are just a couple of days away from signing the initial contract on the home. What that means is it will be a countdown of about 100 days until he home is complete. Upgrades, upgrades everywhere. Where to stop, the lender only cares. Talk about a very difficult process. Picking upgrades on a home and not breaking the bank while doing it. Well, even better news on the house today. We get another 1% in free upgrades, that brings it to a grand total of 4%. That is a considerable amount of money for the upgrades. Today has been such a great day. We picked our lot out today and the floor plan with the elevation that we want. I am so damn psyched! We have to go to the design center on Wednesday to pick our colors and upgrades for the home. The ETA on its finish for build is late March, early April. Perfect timing for the end of this lease. Well, now the real fun begins. Tomorrow morning, we are going back out to the subdivision that we have been browsing and actually get to talk to the folks seriously about the house. We got pre-approved for a $150K home loan today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so damn happy it is ridiculous. Finally, on the path to getting out of an apartment.

Pre-approval for a house is in the works. I am crossing my fingers hoping for good news.
