I love her. Even though she looks like my mother's twin sister. I've liked her as long as I can remember. I can barely remember "Maude" in syndication. It went off the air when I was almost 3, I very vaguely remember it on TV and how much my mother loved it. She was always Dorothy to me. I know she did much, much, much more than just those two TV shows but those shows are how I remember her best. She was a very talented comedian, I think comedy is an under-appreciated craft. It takes a lot of brains and intuition to be good at it and she was very good at it. I have a lot of respect for her.

Sad day. :-(

I would class her as a "comic" who made you laugh so deep and hard you were almost crying.
