For me songs that have "I" in every lane or a lot of "I" in the lyrics are a "wank" - an indication that the songwriters (using that word very rather loosely) have no grasp of language and what would be considered formal thought process.

I was googling the lyrics for a possible performance, the part about "so i pull over to the side of the road"... I thought if I was learning the rap phonetically it was tantamount to Celine Dione learning her first English songs phonetically, which is to say i will be very famous and rich someday if I also learn the language of the rap. Hence, the translation.
