I love Monday morning rants!

I have to say, I love people that got the ARM!! If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be living in the house we live in now, for which we paid WAY WAY less then it was worth. Amen.

Oh, I can totally understand and sympathize with that; the housing bubble had to burst and prices had to drop, somehow. But for the government to be bailing out the people and the banks is just inexcusable; it's not my damned fault. And now everything's getting tight; jobs are being cut left and right (in our county alone in FL, they're cutting something like 5,000 jobs this summer.... no bueno. I didn't even know we had that many people working here!). But it's just killing the rest of the economy, and now folks like me, who never bothered to sign away on a mortgage I couldn't afford (I just kept renting), are gonna have to put off grad school and the things I've worked hard to get just so some schmuck without the inclination (or, in some cases, ABILITY) to read a contract felt like getting a 4-br/3-bath tudor ( ... )

While I completely agree with you on the personal responsiblity aspect of this mortgage rant, I don't think it's *entirely* the fault of the idiot consumers here ( ... )
