I BOUGHT A NEW CAR!!!!!!!

After months (years) of bitching and moaning about my trucklette (the Xtreme), Jason and I went honest-to-goodness car shopping yesterday.  I attempted to test-drive a Pruis, just to tell myself I made the good-faith effort to drive that turd-on-wheels.  All sold out.  Apparently, in PCola, the Prius has a 4-hour lot life ( Read more... )

Congrats on the car!!! It looks fantastic. Of course you had to get it (and the CD) after my visit... that certainly would have cranked the vacation rating up. :)

LOL well next time you're filling out the BizRate.com survey, be sure to include the info about the sweet ride, haha!

And I definitely won't be picking anybody up from the airport in the roadster. It's 2 seats and -- I shit you not -- 2 cu.ft. of trunk space. Not a word of a lie. Oh, but with the top up, I do believe that becomes a whopping 5 cu.ft. of trunk space. Great place for the bodies. ;)

Well its not exactly practical... but in a time when the entire auto/gas infrastructure is going to hell in a handbag you might as well have fun ;)

It reminds me of the car in ferris buller. When you jump that first hill at full speed remember to play the star wars theme and think of me :P

Enjoy the car :) No comment on the NKOTB - you know what I have to say before i say it :P

If only it wasn't so bloody expensive to visit your area.. its all the way in south bumblefuck. :)

Oh speaking of bumblefucking... since your title has the word sex in (sex and the village...very trendy right now :P) LJ was thinking that your page has potential adult material and asked me to verify that I am over 14 before I could reply. *grin*

LOL I know! It does that to me now, too, when I reply via my email and it pops up in another window!

Whatever, it ain't changin'. :) Just confirm that you're not a minor, LOL!

BTW -- the trunk has 2 cubic feet of space when the top is down; 5 cu ft. when it's up.

We'd have to have Scott drawn and quartered and take him in several trips if we want to put him in the trunk. Instead, I'll just take you around the neighborhood one at a time, LOL!

When did Saturns start looking like that? I bought a brand new Saturn Ion a few years ago and saw nothing in the dealership that looked like your car. It's like when the geeky kid from high school decides to get a haircut, buy new clothes and hang out with the cool people.

Congrats.

Haha! Yeah, I had a Saturn SC-2 coupe (the first little 3-door) from 2003 to 2005, and it was as sporty as Saturn got. I think the Sky came out in late 2006 (the 2007 model). It's supposed to be the answer to the Solstice, but I test-drove a Solstice in Sept or Oct 2006 sometime and it was NOTHING like the Sky. The Sky blows the Solstice out of the race entirely.

Even if you don't plan to buy one, go do a take-at-home test drive at your local Saturn dlrship, and you'll love every minute of it, I promise. :)

These are things I miss when I'm stuck in a hotel in Birmingham for a week.
