Kinda sad

This weekend I discovered that my father (we were estranged) who died in 1994, still does not have a headstone. Weird, and oddly sad. I can't stop thinking about it. What is the deal? Why doesn't he have one? He is buried in Kendall, Wisconsin. I wanted to see if the cemetery had screen caps of headstones. (Many do) Via Google I was able to find a

Possibly he didn't want one, or whoever arranged his burial didn't?

Me, I will never have a headstone as I prefer to be cremated and the ashes scattered. So there are those who don't want them...

Darkdreamer and Nuinzilien live closer than I do (I'm another half hour south of them), and although none of us is particularly close, we're probably the closest... perhaps it shall be part of a future road trip for us.
