I find it so very frustrating to try to read a chaptered fic here at LJ when the author doesn't provide links to the next chapter.

I came across a story I'd really like to read, but.. WHAT THE HELL?? I can't find chapter two.

*grumbles*

You probably already have, but I'd suggest leaving a comment to that effect - "I liked this chapter, but I can't find the rest of the fic! Could you please put links?"

I try hard to do that but occasionally I miss something, so it's possible the author just overlooked it.

I've gotten to the point now where I just tag my fics so I don't have to put in links all the time. It's the easiest way to do things when you're lazy. I don't see why other people don't do this. It takes like 2 seconds. I feel your pain.

Tags! I don't know what those do, actually, but I'll go back and see if the fic is tagged.

tags are an easy way of categorizing your entries. In my lj you'll find tags such as hp - Harry Potter, btvs - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, spn - Supernatural, rl - real life, etc. I also have tags for seperate stories or series - 12 days is one example, or for different comms such as smut_69. Hope this clears things up a little.
