FINDING NEVERLAND
REGULAR CHALLENGE:
Here are the basics for this challenge:
• Create three (3) icons from any one of the provided screencaps. You may submit two sets of three - each set displaying a different screencap. See examples:
• You must use the provided images only.
• You may enter up to six (6) icons.
• Add graphics/textures/brushes, etc.
• Animation (as per usual) is not allowed.
• ENTRIES ARE DUE BY SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST, 2009 BY 11:59PM.
THEME CHALLENGE: PETER PAN(S) THROUGH THE AGES.
Here are the basics for this challenge:
• Several other highly inspired and (magically?) touched authors and creators of stories have given us their versions of Mr. Barrie's Peter Pan (the boy). For this challenge, I'd like everyone to choose from the following fandoms and icon only the heroes of the story (in some cases there are more than one - Pevensie children, for instance). These are fandoms that we have already covered which I believe have creators of legends at the helm:
LORD OF THE RINGS (Aragorn, Frodo)
HARRY POTTER (Harry, Ron, Hermione)
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA (all four Pevensie children)
STAR WARS (Luke, Leia, Han, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme)
A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS (all three Baudelaire children)
SLEEPY HOLLOW (Ichabod Crane)
THE WIZARD OF OZ (Dorothy)
THE MUMMY (Rick O'Connell, Evie (Carnahan) O'Connell)
These are some of the best examples of epics, coincidentally. The main character(s) is taken from their comfort zone and exposed to a different word.
• Each of your icons should showcase only one person, not a group.
• Each icon should be from a different fandom. So you may not make an icon of Frodo, then one of Aragorn as well, etc. A good example of a set of four would be: Dorothy (Wizard of Oz), Peter Pevensie (Narnia), Princess Leia (Star Wars), Harry Potter.
• You may enter four (4) icons.
• Add graphics/textures/brushes, etc.
• Animation (as per usual) is not allowed.
