Checking on Mal...
Kaylee was standing by the med table holding onto her Captain's hand. Mal was sleeping peacefully and Kaylee looks at him with a soft smile.
"Sadie says that we're gonna go git 'Nara, Cap." she says softly so she didn't wake him up. "Said you wanted to see 'er. Ain't that sumthin'? She just gone an' took Serenity to go get 'er. Reminds me of Wash....." She sighs before continuing. "All I got t'say is you better tell 'er that you love 'er when you wake up. You taken care of us for so long. Why can' you allow yourself to be happy?" Her eyes casts down to fight the tears. "Why's that so hard?"
