After having a conversation with River about Sadie and realizing that it would have to be a waiting game with his pilot, Mal believes it is high time in looks in on Inara.

He reboards Serenity and makes his way to the room Simon moved Inara to. A knock on the door before he pokes his head inside.

"Hey! You're awake." he says somewhat happily and awkwardly at the same time. "Ya mind some company?"

She rested the embroidery down on her lap to look at him. Her heart happily skipped as her stomach sunk. It was an odd sensation to have two strong contradicting feelings happening at once. "Yes Captain" she said with an almost shy nod.

Awkwardly, he makes his way to the chair next to the bed and sits down with a sigh. He leans back and his hands rest on his thighs.

"So...uh...how ya feelin'?"

Inara looked down at the embroidery setting it aside before looking at him.
She considered her answer for a moment before saying "Like I'm physically on the mend. Simon does good work"
