"Hello, Rose Tyler."

Rose was face down on the floor of what she presumed to be the TARIS. As she'd fallen away from the Doctor towards the void she'd thought for a moment that she'd heard it's familiar whiring sound. But she hadn't dreamed it, she was here, now, when seconds before she was about to Die or worse...

She looked upwards towards him. He looked older, less chaotic, not the same as the man she had left just seconds ago. Rose blinked looking around slowly. Pulling herself up slowly, she rubbed her head and sat back on the floor with a sigh.

"Doctor?" she mumbled, looking at him, hoping this wasn't just some hallucination.

He hopped up to his feet after only a momentary smile and swung the doors shut. He needed to dematerialize before his past self could get any ideas and interfere. There were paradoxes to consider. "Alright? I'm sure there's a salve in the infirmary for your hands, if you need it." He was going to go with a slightly more subdued approach with Rose. The information overload with Donna just resulted in a slap and a tantrum. Rose was different, but this was also a very intense moment for her.

For now, he concentrate on setting off into the vortex.

"Yeah...I." Rose mumbled to herself. "Yeah I might need some of that."

She managed to prop herself up against a wall, dragging her body up onto it's feet. She ached all over and her head ached even more, mainly from the situation she was now in, more than anything.

"So...how'd you manage that one then?" she asked taking a few steps up towards the main console area, the TARDIS moaning and groaning underneath and all around her. "I mean like, be there...and here?"

He seemed more intent on getting them both away she thought, her hands tightly holding on to the runway bars for support as the TARDIS began to move.

He nodded, most of his concentration on wrangling with the protesting time machine. "We'll go and grab you some once I'm done here, then." He glanced up at Rose at her question. "You've been there and here before, too, Rose. It's the benefit of time travel. You're never quite helpless."

After a few more adjustments he clapped his hands and turned back toward her, beaming as if he'd just done something incredibly clever. "Now! Let's get a look at those hands."
