Bring on the New Year
Christmas this year was in keeping with the rest of the year. In other words we tried to make the best of it considering the continuing crap that rains down upon us. A week before Christmas and K was told after the interview for his job (reorganisation sucks) that he wasn't good enough to do it and the interview panel thought he would never be good

What a rotten way to treat your employees just before Christmas! It certainly sounds like a nasty case of office politics, where someone is reorganising everything in order to make themselves look good with no regard for the people who actually do the job. Thank goodness his immediate boss is on his side. I hope he remembers that she knows his abilities much better than the interview panel does. I hope it all works out.

We saw The Hobbit before we went up north, and it was great. Aidan Turner makes one helluva sexy dwarf!
