I awoke this morning without my wings. They've just vanished! The water...I feel no connection with it, either. That's even more troubling. And strangely, I seem to be hearing voices? It seems to be in the shape of a shield, with gold and scarlet colors.

Bright Shield is the healer, so it shouldn't drain you if you don't overuse it, however... Stay away from the person who has Black Sword. If you're hearing it's voice, it probably wants you to kill Black Sword's bearer.

And... I guess I have your powers as well? Flight and... this probably explains the fountains in the sink and bath today...

I see. Someone I know has gained something like this for the day as well. I don't know if it is the Black Sword you're speaking of, but I'll keep my distance. In that case, it would be best if I stay out of the firehouse for the rest of the day.

If it's the 'Michael' who's posted above me, then that does sound like Black Sword-- draining and destroying. It should be on his right hand as well and it looks exactly as its name describes. It's the fate of the two bearers of Bright Shield & Black Sword to duel to the death, so both runes will be trying to influence you towards that. But as long as your will is strong, everything should be all right. It should be... just one day.

Ah, well I'll try that when I get back to my apartment, although I fear it's probably quite flooded by now. I've been flying around staying away from water for most of the day. I put on quite an accidental show when I went past the fountains at the center of the city...
