buffy: oh, yeah, i really like.. okay! maybe we should think about getting a few mirrors. and maybe a drawer, you know, for some of my stuff. because that's what couples do. they have drawers.

buffy: sorry, that's incorrect. but you do get this lovely watch and a year's supply of turtle wax. what i want is to be left alone.
angel:do you really think that's an option anymore? you're standing at the mouth of hell. and it's about to open. don't turn your back on this. you've gotta be ready.

angel: for the harvest?
buffy: who are you?
angel: let's just say.. i'm a friend.

buffy: angel, if i'm not the slayer, what do i do? what do i have to offer? why would you like me?
angel: i saw you before you became the slayer.
buffy: what?
angel: i watched you, and i saw you called. it was a bright afternoon out in front of your school. you walked down the steps and.. and i loved you.
buffy: why?
angel: 'cause i could see your heart. you held it before you for everyone to see. and i worried that it would be bruised or torn. and more than anything in my life i wanted to keep it safe.. to warm it with my own.

buffy: i won't let you die. i can't. angel, the blood of a slayer is the only cure.
angel: faith..
buffy: i tried. i killed her.
angel: then it's over.
buffy: it's never over! i won't let you die..

buffy: my diary? you read my diary? that is not okay! a diary is like, a person's most private place! i.. you don't even know what i was writing about! 'hunk' can mean a lot of things, bad things. and, and when it says that your eyes are 'penetrating', i meant to write 'bulging'.

buffy: and 'A' doesn't even stand for 'angel' for that matter, it stands for.. 'achmed', a charming foreign exchange student, so that whole fantasy part has nothing to do with you at. all.
