Voters give their favourites in order of preference. Therefore, more points are awarded for first pick (3 points), than for second pick (2 points) or third pick (1 point). Tie-breakers got one little pointy star for each vote.

Voters only got to choose one icon. So whomever got the most votes automatically became the winner. Pretty easy, really. Tie-breakers got one little pointy star for each vote.
