I am thrashing this editorial.

The Republican Party has always been the party of business and it was once the party of law, fiscal conservatism, probity, and small government as well. Such Silliness. I wanted to be all indignant and outraged by this as you were but it was too funny for anger. I mean, come on, Evil Republicans are responsible for the mess of Katrina. Bush wanted to declare a state of emergency before it even hit, the governor refused to declare one. Even after it hit she STILL refused to declare one. Hardly anyone talked about it, or looked into WHY though. The whole global warming bit is such nonesense for more reasons than there is room to write here. The claims that the economy is in bad shape and it's the Republicans fault for lowering rich people's taxes shows such a lack of even the most basic of economic study. The economy flucuates, that's natural and seldom a result of presidential influence either way. As you said the tax breaks were for everyone and even with the tax breaks (and the loopholes their accounts and lawyers find as my mom insists happens ALL the time) the rich are still paying FAR more in taxes than the poor from a precentage perspective.
