So, here's a question. How many of you think that being stuck here has an effect on anything that ought to happen back home? Someone seems to think so, and I really don't see why.

Do people even remember this place when they leave? Just seems like a waste even worrying about that.

wat is fate, darknessss, twelfth, roxas, broodingku is brooding

[Insert my usual note for today of the fact that the picture on the journal is quite female now.]

The other person from my world that is here has been here now two months, but when I came here, I was with her. A lot of what has happened to me, she doesn't even know about.

It was a bit confusing at first for us, but the most sensible explanation is that either time stops or the people here are duplicates of those from their own world.

That's what I thought, which is why it's pointless to worry about fate as long as I'm here. Who cares about the darkness, anyway?

The darkness? Should I even ask?

But yeah, I'm perfectly fine with just staying here. It's nice to be able to stay in one place without being attacked. Truly, this is the first time I've actually stayed somewhere this long.

[Considering he's only been here a month, yeah, that says a lot for how dangerous his world is for him.]

You could, but I don't know much. Just that it's dangerous, apparently.

Huh. So you moved around a lot?

Roxas seems to think I should give into the darkness.

Apparently if I don't it'll ruin your future, even though I'm in a completely different world.

I don't see the big deal.

From what Rena hears, if a person leaves they are brought back exactly where they had originally left off.

Perhaps a timeline somewhere is suffering because of it, but we will never know the difference.

So there's no real loss. I heard people who leave come back without any memories, too.

No real loss?

...Perhaps. We can only hope against the long-term effects, after all.

If people go back to where things left off, then it's not like being here changes a thing.

I'm told I've been here before and then left; unfortunately, I've no memory of the prior visit. At the same time, many things about this place seem distantly familiar to me, a bit of a deja vu. I think it would be fair to assume that upon being returned to our homes, we go without recollection of our time here. At best, it is something to haunt our dreams.

Of course, this is all just speculation on my part. I would be interested to see others' experiences.

Yeah, same here. But if we did remember it'd probably cause problems, what with people being from different times.

One would assume. However, considering the care with which we are treated otherwise by our captors, perhaps the potential timeline concerns simply do not matter whatever greater purpose binds us here.

Yeah, being their test subjects. That's some greater purpose alright...

Well, if this place is any indication? The future still marches on, because everyone from my world is from different points in time... and yet, the same things keep happening.

I don't really think you should be worried. You'll go back whenever you go back, right?

Exactly. Which is why he shouldn't boss me around over something that won't even make a difference.

What? That's certainly rude of him. Just because something happens in your future doesn't mean that you have to follow it to a T.

Finally someone who agrees. And when it's something as big as this darkness? I don't see why I should just give in.
