We all know Superman's Jewish.

He even wears a tallit.

It's a lot more common for superheroes to fasten their capes directly on the costume or in front somehow - through a cowl, or a rope or a brooch or two. Supes folds the shoulders of his cape *exactly* the same way as one does for a big tallit - one of the 4x6 ones. He just tucks the ends into his shirt instead of leaving them out.

Hee. I might have thought of that myself, had I any idea of the correct way to wear a tallit.

I love that the wife is all - "Should I offer to take his cape?" Like, what is the proper etiquette for capes? They never covered this in hospitality school. Nor, one would guess, in the Mishna. (Although, who knows... halacha covers pretty much everything.)

Anyway that keeps the tallit on is good - many people use clips, in fact. But there is a traditional way.

Third still picture down shows a man wearing a tallit in a traditional way. Imagine that tucked in...

I didn't know about the clips. I knew what it looked like on, I just never learned the rules or specifics...
