Hi all!

I've been spending a lot of time at Fanlore lately, and realized that there was no page describing this lj comm, so I created one. It's very bare-bones and needs more info; please jump in and edit at will? :-)

Man, can I just say, I think I did the world's shittiest job of trying to read through the responses to chopchica (thank you for reposting yours, it was A+)-- I don't always agree with her, but a lot of the backlash ended up being "why you gotta piss on our parade?" and that made me want to find people to kill, and I haven't had my breakfast yet.

... Why am I on Fanlore before breakfast? What has become of me?

I thought what you posted was excellent; I'm glad you thought linking to my response was a reasonable thing to do. (I felt then, and feel now, like the things I was saying in response don't get said very often -- but I also felt then, and feel now, that chopchica and the others who felt/feel marginalized by the yuletide phenom have every right to grouse about it, and to be heard respectfully and with love.)
