Yup that's democracy The primary function of the 'Party System' is to facilitate the activities of people who spend their working lives in Parliament - making alliances & whatever to enable them to have something resembling a unified voice, win votes & control dissent among those on their own side. It's not a mechanism designed by a well-meaning God to perform the function of expressing the nuances of your thought to the decision-making apparatus of the state. Thinking that would be kind of like thinking that evolution would result in creatures looking good. - I mean mostly they do http://tinyurl.com/epx3z, but when no one is looking - well... http://tinyurl.com/j357q
