I'm sure there will be a locked election-post at some point in time, but for now, how about a fluffy review post...

Guitar Hero 2:I had harassed my local game shop mercilessly until they stocked the first one, and this time, I snagged the second-last copy they had of this one; it's a hot seller for sure. GH1 was great, evidenced by the fact I ( Read more... )

Re: i'm talking tiers, not difficulty stillvisions November 8 2006, 19:32:15 UTC
I didn't find that as much, if my score is any indication, but that may have been fatigue more than difficulty. I was getting 4-star with the occasional 5-star for the first 4, and the last two tiers slipped to 3-star. The basic riffs felt harder, but that may have been the hands failing me. The only one I failed was "Jessica" the first try.

I HAVE to play the Guitar Hero games. They sound like so much fun, especially since they seem to be more "my" style of music than DDR. (I'm much more into rock than dance.)

They can be a lot of fun, albeit with a serious cost to the hands. I'm sure that soon enough either myself or someone else will try and arrange a night of serious rocking out. I'm in on it for the bizarre mental image of you rocking out to Trogdor [grin]

Yeah, I must have missed it at the time - I picked up on Trail of dead a couple of years after (I'm not too out of touch with kids these days and their music) but I guess exile in Kingston meant a smaller pool of quiet word on good music.

I thought that after the split most of the members had actually ended up migrating to one side or the other. But yeah, right now we just have the remnants. Haven't picked up Mars Volta - Sparta has some light screamo which is kinda catchy, but their "screamanthemchorus-quietverse-screamanthemchorus-quietverse" model is kinda repetitive after a while.

Working on some of the smaller sets, and the Org XIII shoot now. Out of curiosity, what names/handles would the group want for the shoot?

Hey, this is Asuka, the Katara from Ohayocon. It was really nice talking to you for the brief time we did get to talk. I've seen your work around before and really admired it, so I'm really happy to have finally gotten to know the face behind the camera. I've added you, if you'd like me to remove you just say so and I will. Once again, it was nice meeting you~!

I'm always good with new people on the friends' list. ^^

It was really neat yourself and all the other crew there, and I hope you enjoy the galleries when they come up. I'll be posting the updates via lj...
