Be Seeing You (Again)

I have to say I wasn't expecting too much of the new remake of Patrick McGoohan's seminal TV show, The Prisoner, but this nine minute preview of AMC's mini-series, starring Jim Cavaziel as Six and Ian McKellen as One looks pretty damn good. Yeah, saw this yesterday, looks interesting, Ian McKellan looks and sounds like he will be a good No 2 but I can't help feeling it looses something taking it away from a British setting and plonking it down in what looks like an American desert town, giving it a Truman Show feel to the whole proceedings.
Will still give it a go when it gets aired, and Rover looks rather cool in this.
In the meantime I thoroughly recommend Harper's Island too you, we've watched the first 9 Episodes in 2 nights, it's brilliant, it's like The OC meets Friday The 13th, really addictive viewing.

Yeah, I can see your point, but this could have been far, far worse, really. It at least seems to be following the original pretty tightly, which I wasn't expecting. And they've kept the Rover design and managed to make it fully threatening!
It'd never be the original, but at least they seem to have been reverent to it. And the original is always there on the shelf, untouchable.
Never heard of Harper's Island. I'll go in search of it in a bit...
