Voting was surprisingly easy this afternoon.  (It turns out that most people in my district went in the early hours.)  Nevertheless it was jam-packed in other districts at my polling place.  Lots of kids, several languages, and my ex-therapist (back from the days when I could afford to have mental health issues

This afternoon, I've been getting ready to give a reading and talk on fat politics at Smith College tomorrow, so I've been rereading your keynote. I'm so quoting you. I bet you put something special into those little levers!

Yay! We dropped our ballots in last week, and it was so stress free and lovely, walking to the drop box in the evening..the election bldg is in our neighborhood....now for the wait.....arggggh!
