My tooth pain mysteriously went away after the oral surgeon refused to see me last week.  It seems that my dental coverage isn't what I thought it was.  I still have to deal with whatever not-good thing is going on in there, but for now not having awful tooth pain has me sailing around feeling really good and happy to just be ( Read more... )

I've got lots of conflicting feelings about this neighborhood that I grew up and still live in; parts of me feel at home, and others not, but some things here are lovely.

Like neighbors putting out workable things they don't need on the sidewalk with politely informational signs taped to them: cat food - "still good, but my cat's allergic; " ( Read more... )

I just found out that my class and I are graduating on time, in August!  It's a huge relief, as it's been hanging over my head of a few weeks.  Wow!

In other good news,

School -   There's been a lot of school drama that I haven't written about here.  It seems the department of education (and to some degree the corporation that is buying and going to run my school) are changing the degree requirements for graduation and licensure.  Instead of having students graduate with a masters they'll graduate with a masters  ( Read more... )

This icon is a portrait of Sun Si Miao, a legendary healer from the Tang dynasty.  Along with his many other great works, he developed a system of medical ethics.  I've been reading and studying about him.
