Ooooh ... this was an unexpected heart stopper:

"She awakes the next morning to the first few rays of sunlight streaming into the room and realizes that she's alone."

I loved the ending line; it's so Rose, and so romantic:

'She shrugs her shoulders and smiles softly.

"Wherever you are."'
