I liked this quite a bit. You did a good job with it starting out slowly, just this lingering evidence of connection. I also like that it was something that the Doctor recognized and so he had that little bit of foresight to understand the horrific connotations of her hearing drums after messing around with the Time vortex. I like how you illustrated it growing until it's eating away the bits that are so distinctly her, mainly her caring and empathy. I also really like how you had the thing that had driven her to become the Bad Wolf turning her into a monster. She no longer just wants to keep the Doctor safe, she wants to consume him, keep all of him. And in the end, the position the Doctor is in . . . And I don't even consider it being the position they are both in because at that point, what made Rose herself is really gone. Others that have commented are very right, you did an excellent job capturing this creeping horror that is far more terrifying than anything more overt. You did an excellent job.
