This is a sad time for Pittsburgh. Or maybe just for me. First off, Tom Flaherty was sworn in as a judge yesterday, and yesterday was also Sala Udin's last day. District 6 is going to miss Sala, no matter how good Tonya Payne is; you don't know what you got til it's gone (just like Joni says), I think will certainly apply when it becomes apparent

Yeah, Dontae goes to Howard. Nothing against him...I'm just bitter that his mom beat Sala. :-(

I had the day marked with a sad face on my calender after the election. Sala was one of the people I could count on to make good decisions on City Council...looks like you and I are going to have to start gearing up for our council seats.

Hmm...yeah, now Bill's pretty much our only hope for making good decisions (and occasionally Twanda Carlisle and Doug Shields...actually, I think I trust Carlisle over Shields after Shields was so into making Ravenstahl Pres). Remember when Bill came into our class, and you asked him if he was going to miss Sala, and he said yes? *sad face*

OMG--there's a movie you absolutely MUST SEE!! It's called "See How They Run" (the Carnegie Library system has it). It's a documentary about the 1999 mayor's race in San Francisco, when a gay stand-up comic/ city supervisor runs a write-in campaign against the incumbent. It's soooooo gooooood! The incumbent totally seems like O'Connor, and the challenger seems totally like Peduto (you'll get it when you see it) and I totally would've voted for him. So SEE IT!! YEAH!!
