Giving pills to cats has got to be one of the worst things in the world. Hopefully they will make the problems much less. I took Isis to the vet today because after 4-5 days of no vomiting there was blood in it today. The blood work the vet did all came back negative for anything identifiably wrong. The vet had a couple of theories

the other an antibiotic which will act as an emetic to control the issue until the suspected injured esophagas heals

Don't you mean *anti*-emetic?

That makes sense. It is very possible. But I also got the impression that it was supposed to make things go the right direction so to speak. And I was a little bit "ok whatever you say doc".

That's my point--an emetic makes you vomit, so if you're trying to stop that, you'd need an anti-emetic.
