8/31/10 - day 1 of week 8. 5 minute warmup walk, 2.5 mile jog. Yeah, that's right. I ran 2.5 miles. I have no idea how long it took me cause we didn't bring a timer, but I ran the entire 2.5 miles. It was totally rad. I feel totally awesome. I wanted to walk a few times, but I Didn't. I just kept on running. Kept my feets moving cause I knew if I walked once I'd be more likely to walk again. I managed to focus on the music and keep my mind off of a) the fact that I had to pee b) the stitch that I got in my side at about 1 mile and c) the fact that I couldn't breathe and before I knew it it was over. Oh, by the way, in case you were wondering, the podrunner series does not work for me. I need music I can sing to and concentrate on, and most of all, not be annoyed by. :) It's an awesome concept, it just doesn't quite work for me. Tom Petty's Running Down a Dream is one of the best songs to run to. I listened to it twice cause it was so good. Oh and Maroon 5's It's Getting Harder and Harder to Breathe is really good to run to too. :)
