On Vox: From "V for Vendetta"

"Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where ( Read more... )

scarey indeed...

This was one of my favourite movies from last year by the way. ( Starring my favourite actress too! ) Full of sticks-in-your-mind dialogue and sharp, short action set pieces, very different from the impressive but overlong and mind numbing sequences from the later 2/3rds of the matrix trilogy...its also from those Wachowski brothers ( screen writer, producers instead of directors this time) if you remember...I wonder where they vanished....

I'm assuming you're talking about Bangladesh, not India... And yeah, the situation over there is making me a little nervous too, in the same way.

I just remembered that I have the V for vendetta comic book in the collection I acquired recently. Have to take a look. How's the download speed in your new "location" by the way?

p.s. Of all the dozens of fancy games that were in your collection - would you believe i'm still stuck on lumines!

I thoroughly enjoyed and liked V for Vendetta the movie (I agree with all that you've said about it in the previous comment) and I'll be very keen to also check out the comic/graphic novel as well...

Alas -- I'm yet to get a house so not sure about the download speed -- I'm told it should be good.

About your PS note, is it because you didn't get time to check out all the games or did Luminess grab your attention so much that you couldn't move on to other games? Whatever be the case, Lumines is really a gem. I couldn't give you Lumines II, which I got just before leaving -- but honestly speaking, Lumines itself is quite awesome.

I checked out quite a few other games, but the thing with the psp is that I only find the simple and adictive games interesting....graphics and complicacy is not as attractive as I thought they would be. ( millions of people will probably agree with me judging by sales of the Nintendo Wii ) Maybe its because of the xbox360....I've got 20 or so games for it of which at least 10 are worth finishing - and I dont have any time! I've got at least 2 dozen pc games that are worth finishing. No time! I've gotten old man. Really, Really, Really old....:(

I'm downloading and reading a lot of comics these days. The writing and artwork of some of the series are simply astonishing. Hell of a lot better than most of the lame movie adaptations that come out...( thankfully they're getting better)
