On a serious note, I've read of a similar project...to preserve biodiversity....there was an excample of the dangerous situation that has developed in the world today with the mass cultivation of just a few popular types of fruit and vegetables...apparantly most of the worlds bananna plants can be wiped out by one virulant disease - cause they're all genetically similar!
