It's morning.

A cat pawing at your face wakes you up, the faint light filtering in through the window suggests it's still early.

You stretch your arms over your head, then climb off the bed and walk to the kitchen, while the cat keeps rubbing on your ankles and almost trips you over.

"Castor..." You sigh, affection showing clearly in your voice. "I know you're hungry."

You open a cabinet and you're looking for his food when someone knocks at the door. You frown immediately. Who could it be, so early in the morning?

"Lin!" Oh. You know that voice. Gai? What could he want?

It doesn't matter, you'll pretend to be still asleep and he'll go away. You've already turned your back on it when the door swings open, and Gai steps in, a big grin on his face.

You open your mouth to protest, but before you can say anything he's walked over and pulled you in a big hug. Immediately you try to push him away, but for some reason he doesn't even seem to feel your hands on his stomach.

This is reminding you of the time Castor fell in the sink filled with cold water and a pan fell over him, blocking him in there until you heard his screeches and came to free him.

At last, Gai pulls away. He moves aside, and this time it's Crimson stepping in. Just like Gai, he comes in and hugs you, like you two were old friends meeting after years spent apart.

When he finally lets you go, you walk to the door, holding it open for them. "Out of here, immediately!"

But then you glance outside. There's-- Bastet, and then Bell, and then Krile, and you don't look any farther but you're sure that if you did you'd see all the people you've met in your time here, all standing in line outside your door.

Your last thought is that it doesn't matter how much you'll screech, no one will come to rescue you.

* rain, castor's a funny name, what is happening, * youth, tsun tsun dere dere, * gene-1, fell off my high horse, nothing to see here uh huh
