The beta-blockers were prescribed by a doctor I no longer have (due to UCSD no longer supporting my previous HMO--thanks, UCSD), and prescribed for a different reason (public speaking anxiety not flight anxiety). My goal is to eventually fly drug-free, and I'm confident I'll be able to do it eventually. I did several years ago with no problem--I used to enjoy flying, and even toyed with the idea of becoming a pilot. Though if my prescription runs out before I do, I'll try calling my new doctor to discuss options. O~
