I'm not big on Eckhart either (ditto on the dent distraction), but he definitely did a good job. And yes, Maggie totally kicked what's-her-name's butt; I wish that she had played RD in the original film, too. There was just a lot more chemistry between her and all of the men in the film.
Another thing I liked about the film, and this may seem strange, is how it kept going after a lot of Hollywood films would have ended. There were at least three scenes that COULD HAVE BEEN the ending, but they were not. I liked that little bit of shaking up, because it reflected the uncertainty of the characters.
And am I the only one who thought Oldman's monologue at the end kicked total ass? Because it did! :D
