I heard a live recording of The Musical Box playing TLLDOB, and it was very impressive. Great that you got to see them! I'm especially impressed that the band got to use the original visuals - wow! I heard the original Lamb show simulcast on FM back in the spring of 1975, and I became an immediate fan. I wished I could have recorded it, but not long after, I found two bootleg LPs of the same performance, and they have been favourites ever since.

Here is an excerpt. Steve Hackett's Les Paul outsings Gabriel here, IMO.

*chuckle* Did The Musical Box play The Musical Box for the encore? Genesis did on their 1975 USA Lamb tour. ^^

They did indeed play The Musical Box for an encore, also Watcher of the Skies. It was a really great gig :).

Thanks for the clip of CC - sounds like it must've been a good one. Must look out for a few ROIOs myself :).

Wow, they really did it right! I'm impressed. Now, I must ask - was 'Hackett' positioned at stage-right, or stage-left?

He was to my left as I was watching, I think that's stage right isn't it? No idea if that is truly authentic, even if it wasn't the music certainly was :).
