today I: got lost again, but found the coffee machine which is my landmark, vaporized yttrium, barium flouride, and copper by electron beam in a vacuum chamber, sat around and whatnot, dropped more science in the afternoon, went kyaking. it was fire.

Is light really vibrations of the 5th dimension?
How does light move in the motion of a wave through the mediumless vacuum of space? Is the idea of 'dark matter' widely accepted? How can we be sure the Universe is expanding-our's and other celestial body's observable movements in relation to each other can't be definitive on that matter, or is it?

Any reading beyond the Elegant Universe, Dancing Wu LI, etc. you could suggest? I have lots of questions about physics but since I'm not in school learning about such subjects is rather hit & miss. From what I can tell you seem to be the a competent source of information or at least direction.

Light is Electromagnetic propagation, it is energy and that is why it propagates without a medium. It is only described as a wave because that fits much of the experimental results, but it is also described as a particle depending on the particular case. So...it is most likely niether wave or particle. If it was simply a wave, then it might require something to, um..."wave" through like all other waves ( ... )

I want to add one more thing about light: electric fields and magnetic fields can be thought of as two dimensional planes. If you have an electric field, it induces a magnetic field perpendicularly. It makes sense to me (and probably most people since at a young age we are introduced to such things) that both magnetic and electric fields should be able to travel through a medium-less space ( ... )
