Stirling is Kraft/CBC Hockeyville for 2012. The attempt to win the prize was started when Jim Wilson, long-time arena manager, died suddenly. This hawk slammed into my kitchen solarium window while in hot pursuit of a Downy Woodpecker. The impact killed the woodpecker but only stunned the hawk which allowed me to take this photo before he gathered his wits and flew away.
