Chase is a doctor (duh). He was nearly a priest, went into medicine instead, his mother was an alcoholic who drank herself to death, his father was absent. He's Roman Catholic but not exactly practicing on a regular basis - though his faith in God is actually quite fine. He divorced after being married for a few months because he killed a patient. (This is basically canon stuff - in short, feel free to pursue wiki and lift at will).
I doubt we see each other for more than an SWS, but! this seemed a better place to leave this than a subject line.
Chuck is a Prophet of the Lord and we play an SPN AU. His current Babysitter is Gabriel, but Death looks in on him for more personal reasons.
Chuck knows angels when he sees them, can't really get touched by demons without serious consequences, has a knack for getting in trouble, and is highly suspected of actually being God. (He is, but only Death knows for sure.)
I think you and I have a good rapport about things, but I'll give you-in-Raph form two pieces of information to use as dramatically appropriate: these are open for you to use, and open for you to heal as you see fit--I know you well enough that you won't wave your hand and suddenly the stick-figure will be a barbie doll:
1. Fran's anorexia comes from a personal mythology she has: if I get fat, I will grow breasts and get breast cancer. Yes, that's the true underlying reason she's kept herself so rail-thin. To avoid breast cancer, because having breasts will lead to the disease in her head.
2. Fran's stutter comes from her alcoholic father telling her to shut up every time she opened her mouth in the apartment, after her mother's death. Eventually, she grew afraid to speak, and no one's ever bothered to pay to send her to speech therapy, nor even really suggested the idea to her.
Thank you! Communication is a beautiful thing \o/ And yeah, no magic handwavey "Everything is fixed forever!" shenanigans with Raph. It's poor RP manners and usually lousy storytelling to boot. :P I play Guri in a ' verse where, until recently, he had a badly maimed wing, and I kind of dreaded every time a character with supernatural healing tagged in, because a total stranger instantly fixing it would have done his mental state waaaaaay more harm than good.
This is why I love you so much. I have had SUUUUCH issues in the past...the worst was when, on the second date, a male mage offered my female transgendered psychic a womb. Because without one, theirs was a dead-end relationship, since they'd never have kids.
Said mage also tried to impregnate her cat. Details upon request.
But I trust you, so I offer you those two pieces of knowledge to act upon as you see fit.
Figured I'd fill this out! eachbeansoupSeptember 3 2011, 04:00:55 UTC
He's welcome to know any of the information that's on Emile's profile - he's just an ordinary human boy, a product of his times in 1912 Storyville New Orleans where he lives.
One thing he might sense about Emile that Emile doesn't even know about himself is that he has deep sense of longing. He wants to belong to somewhere or someone - whether it's a group like a gang , a good friend or a lover. This is because all his life he's been on his own, and never had a family.
Also unknown to Emile himself is that while he certainly likes aspects of the ladies, in some ways he'd almost prefer a male lover just to be able to bond with someone of his own sex.
He puts on more bravado and confidence than he actually has - he's a 17 year old boy caught up in a dangerous world and trying to find ways to survive.
Oh one other thing I should mention is that he has no concept of politically correct- he's very much a product of the early 1900s and the area he grew up in. So he might spout some things that make us modern folks go > >
